“ Myself and three friends ate at Shonet's this past week. Two of them had been before and talked about how good the pie was so that determined where we chose to eat. We called ahead to make sure they'd have pie by the time we arrived that evening and they were kind enough to set us back four pieces. Apple, cherry, and pecan were our only choices by late afternoon. I've heard their chocolate and lemon are great. We each ordered the open faced roast beef sandwich, which we laughed about, but all thought it looked delicious. I had mine qith mashed potatoes and their fried dressing. The sandwich was very tasty and the mashed potatoes were delicious. The dressing was fine but not as crispy as I'd hoped (of note, I'm picky about dressing and like it crispy, not mushy). My only disappointed was that the food wasn't as hot as I'd like. It was a tad over luke warm. I honestly thought about asking them to stick my plate in the microwave for 30 seconds, bit didn't. Took away a little bit of my enjoyment because I rushed to eat before it got cold. For dessert, I had apple pie and ice cream. I was thrilled that they heated the pie and it was good but nothing special (though I ate every bite). Our waitress was kind, efficient, and took great care of us. I would try Shonet's again but wouldn't have about it to anyone until I had another experience there. It's certainly worth a try. ”
“ Stopped there while visiting family in Milton, West Virginia. Fellow diners raved about the turkey, dressing, country fried steak and mashed potatoes. The dinner rolls, coleslaw, and coconut cream pie were the stars, in my opinion! My fish 'n chips was "meh"... (leave the seafood to Red Lobster). Definitely a great local restaurant with mostly good food. Service and cleanliness was on point. No wait for table. ”
“ I have been here a couple of times lately and I get the fried fish basket which is terrific. My wife got the chicken liver dinner and she gives it a , she especially like the light breading on the fried livers We went with a large group and the back room can seat about 20 people but you need to call and reserve the room. ”
“ Perfect place with wonderful people working it. The food is really good. Is pretty pricy, not including tip, over $40 for a Turkey and gravey, a lunch special hot ham and cheese, 2 drinks and 1 trip eat to salad bar. (I thought it said a salad included on my lunch special and yes, I was there between 11-2.) But, they are so nice and the food is so good that I am sure we will be back sometime!if you haven't been, you most definitely should go! ”
“ This restaurant is a little jewel tucked away in a tiny corner of Milton, WV! Gracious & friendly staff. Best apple pie I've had in quite a while- not too sweet with a flaky crust- just like Grandma's. I'll be back for sure. ”
